and words can heal,

which will you choose today?

Will you hurt

or hope reveal

with every word you say?

 

Words are warm

and words are cold,

which will you use today

Will kindness win

or lose again

to your words that slay?

 

Words are harsh

and words are soft,

who will you excuse today?

Will you rage

or disengage

from the weapons hurled your way?

 

Words repair

or bring despair,

what will you refuse today?

To be ingnored

abused, abhorred?

Let nothing stand in your way.

 

So choose wisely

and speak kindly.

Remove yourself from the fray.

Live in love;

promote peace
